Partner Mark Novotny – Presenter and Speaker to the Nebraska Dental Implant Society

Mark Novotny, one of the founding partners of Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP, was the speaker at the May 28, 2020 meeting of the Nebraska Dental Implant Study Club.  The Study Club brings dental implant surgeons from across the state to share information to better provide dental implant care to Nebraska residents.  Mr. Novotny’s PowerPoint presentation was entitled: “Above the Standard of Care” and discussed the clinical and litigation implications of defining, identifying, and practicing within the standard of care and applying those principles to the COVID-19 outbreak in relation to patient care, employee safety, re-opening practices, and the economic effect the pandemic has had on dental practices.   Mr. Novotny’s practice emphasis for more than 30 years has been advising and defending health care providers in clinical risk management, professional negligence, civil litigation, and administrative licensure issues.
