Scott Wormsley

Scott Wormsley is a partner in Lamson Dugan & Murray’s West Des Moines office where he has a broad litigation practice that includes an emphasis in the areas of insurance defense, product liability and professional liability. He has over 30 first-chair jury verdicts and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Scott has handled a wide variety of cases through verdict including those involving personal injuries in the nursing home context, premises liability, explosions, motor vehicle accidents, and property damage claims. Notable first-chair verdicts include a defense verdict in a long-term care facility wrongful death case with a multi-million-dollar demand to the jury, a defense verdict in a fall case involving traumatic brain injury and paralysis with a jury demand of over $30 million, a defense verdict in a premises liability case involving significant orthopedic injuries, and a defense verdict in an underinsured motorist case involving extensive personal injury claims. He has argued numerous cases at the Iowa Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
