LDM Attorneys Contribute to Latest Issue of Nebraska Lawyer

Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP attorneys played key roles in the latest issue of the Nebraska Lawyer, the official publication of the Nebraska State Bar Association, contributing both editorial leadership and substantive scholarship to the publication.

Senior Counsel Monte Schatz served as issue editor, overseeing the development and organization of the publication’s content. Serving in this capacity reflects the trust placed in Monte’s professional judgment and experience, as well as his ongoing commitment to supporting thoughtful, high-quality legal discourse within the profession.

In addition to editorial leadership, two LDM attorneys authored articles featured in the issue. Ellen Geisler contributed an article titled “When Does an Entity Discover a Cause of Action for Purposes of the Discovery Rule? Clarifications from the Recent Nebraska Supreme Court Opinion in Konence v. Abram, LLC,” which examines recent guidance from the Nebraska Supreme Court on the application of the discovery rule to entity plaintiffs.

Cathy Trent-Vilim authored “How to Craft a Strategic and Helpful Amicus Brief,” offering insight into the purpose and practical considerations of effective amicus advocacy and its role in appellate decision-making.

Although Nebraska Lawyer articles are available to subscribers, the involvement of LDM attorneys as both issue editor and contributing authors underscores the firm’s active engagement in advancing the practice of law beyond individual client matters. Their participation reflects a broader commitment to professional responsibility, scholarship, and service to the legal community.

Lamson Dugan & Murray attorneys regularly contribute their time and expertise through leadership roles, writing, and professional involvement that supports the development of the law and the legal profession as a whole.
