Lamson, Dugan & Murray is seeking an AP Specialist to join our growing Law Firm in Omaha, NE.

About the Position/Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and on time
  • Ensure invoices are properly coded, approved, and documented
  • Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wires)
  • Respond to vendor and internal payment inquiries
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and files
  • Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end close
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve AP processes

  • General knowledge of bookkeeping

About the Position/Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate for this Corporate Associate position should have at least 3-5 years of experience in employment law, including litigation and counseling. The successful candidate will handle a variety of employment law matters, including advising employers on compliance issues, drafting employment-related documents, and representing clients in litigation and administrative proceedings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and dynamic team. Key responsibilities include:

• Counsel employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

• Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, policies, and procedures

• Represent employers in administrative proceedings

• Handle employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims

• Provide advice on labor relations, workplace investigations, and disciplinary actions

• Stay updated on employment law developments and provide proactive advice to clients

Qualifications

About the Position/Key Responsibilities:

This position will handle a variety of cases including, medical and professional negligence defense, insurance disputes, personal injury, and many other areas. The ideal candidate should have:

 

  • 6-15 years of litigation experience, preferably with experience in insurance defense or general civil litigation.
  • Experience in legal research and writing, first or second chair jury and bench trials, conducting depositions, managing cases, and meeting deadlines.

With the appropriate amount of experience, being hired as a partner is possible.

 

Candidates with less litigation experience will be considered depending on qualifications.
