Employment Law Attorney
Omaha, NE

Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP is seeking an employment attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join the Firm’s Omaha location.

About the Position/Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate for this Corporate Associate position should have at least 3-5 years of experience in employment law, including litigation and counseling. The successful candidate will handle a variety of employment law matters, including advising employers on compliance issues, drafting employment-related documents, and representing clients in litigation and administrative proceedings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and dynamic team. Key responsibilities include:

• Counsel employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

• Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, policies, and procedures

• Represent employers in administrative proceedings

• Handle employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims

• Provide advice on labor relations, workplace investigations, and disciplinary actions

• Stay updated on employment law developments and provide proactive advice to clients

• Conduct training sessions for clients on employment law topics, such as harassment prevention and compliance

Candidates with less experience will be considered depending on qualifications.

IT Specialist

Job Type: Full-time



Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Specialist to lead and manage all aspects of our organization's technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across hardware, software, networking, and security, while also contributing to strategic planning and innovation. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable working with end-user systems and enterprise-level technologies, with a passion for continuous learning and emerging tech such as the Internet of Things (IoT). This role will be expected to worknights and weekends as necessary to meet our attorney and staff needs in collaboration with our Managed Services Provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including end-user support, systems administration, and infrastructure management.
  • Manage and maintain computer systems, printers, iOS and macOS devices, and wireless technologies.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams environments.
  • Maintain business servers and domain controllers, including user and group management via Active Directory.
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and other security best practices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and remote access.
  • Monitor and enforce IT security policies, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Evaluate and integrate IoT technologies to support business innovation and automation.
  • Support custom computer builds and maintain a home lab for testing and prototyping solutions.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior IT staff (if applicable).
  • Coordinate with other departments to align IT strategies with business goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • A+ Certification (CompTIA) or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proven experience with a wide range of IT systems, including:
       
    • Windows and macOS environments
    •  
    • iOS device management
    •  
    • Printers and peripherals
    •  
    • Wireless networks and endpoint security
  •  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and server administration.
  • Experience with network infrastructure and security protocols.
  • Familiarity with MFA systems and modern cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in IoT technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with home labs or building custom computing environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified, Cisco, etc.).
  • Experience working in small to mid-sized business environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
