OBBBA: Cheaper Crop Insurance

What changed:

Farmers can now get extra insurance protection, even if they’re enrolled in certain farm programs, and the government will cover a bigger share of the premiums. The OBBBA allows producers to combine Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) with the Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO), and it increases the government’s portion of the premiums on crop insurance policy deductibles, up from 65%.
