Sarah Macdissi is senior counsel at Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP, and is a member of the firm’s employment law and litigation practices. Ms. Macdissi represents and advises clients on a broad range of matters, with experience defending employers in Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Family Medical Leave Act, among other various employment laws and regulations. She has additional experience defending cases involving professional liability, insurance defense, and personal injury.
Ms. Macdissi’s practice extends to handling state and federal court claims, complaints before various administrative agencies, in addition to the drafting of employment handbooks, employment contracts, and non-compete agreements. She has secured verdicts as both a plaintiff and defendant, and has successfully defended claims filed with the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor. Ms. Macdissi is an editor for the Nebraska Section of the Product Liability Desk Reference: A Fifty State Compendium.
After graduating from college, Ms. Macdissi spent half a year working abroad. Upon returning, she helped coordinate a Nebraska Senate campaign before entering law school. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation, is a member of the Junior League of Omaha, and is a graduate of the Nebraska State Bar Leadership Academy. Past volunteer experience includes serving as a mentor in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Midlands program. Ms. Macdissi is a firm believer in giving back and enjoys engaging in Omaha’s philanthropic community.
