Maria Lighthall is a partner at Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP, and is a member of the firm’s insurance defense, railroad law, torts and products liability, toxic tort, worker’s compensation, and litigation practices. Ms. Lighthall represents and advises clients on a broad range of matters, with expertise defending clients in personal injury, insurance and worker’s compensation matters. She has additional experience representing clients who have been injured on the job and in automobile accidents.
Maria graduated from Drake University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. While in undergraduate school she studied abroad in Perth, Western Australia. After undergraduate school she attended law school at Creighton University School of Law where she participated in the Civil Law Clinic and interned for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Nebraska.
Following law school, Maria moved to Denver, Colorado, where she started her law career representing clients in medical malpractice, employment and personal injury cases. After five and half years in Colorado, she moved back to Omaha, Nebraska to be closer to her family.
Ms. Lighthall was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. When she’s not practicing law she enjoys spending time with her family and participating in activities in the community, including serving as a guild board member of the Girls and Boys Club, Inc. and being a member of the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
