Maria T. Lighthall

Maria Lighthall is a Partner at Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP. Maria serves as the Firm’s Administrative Partner. She is a member of the Firm’s insurance defense, railroad law, torts and products liability, toxic tort, worker’s compensation, medical malpractice, and litigation practices. Ms. Lighthall represents and advises clients on a broad range of matters, with expertise defending clients in personal injury, insurance and worker’s compensation matters. She also has experience assisting clients with Medicaid planning and eligibility.

Maria graduated from Drake University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. While in undergraduate school she studied abroad in Perth, Western Australia. After undergraduate school she attended law school at Creighton University School of Law where she participated in the Civil Law Clinic and interned for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Nebraska.

Following law school, Maria moved to Denver, Colorado, where she started her law career representing clients in medical malpractice, employment, and personal injury matters. After five and half years in Colorado, she moved back to Omaha, Nebraska, to be closer to her family.

Maria was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. When she’s not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, traveling, and participating in activities in the community, including being the Chair of the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.
