Jack Pietig is an associate attorney with Lamson Dugan & Murray’s litigation division in West Des Moines. Jack was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He mostly grew up in Colorado, however, and graduated from Regis Jesuit High School in 2013. Jack attended Creighton University’s Heider College of Business, graduating summa cum laude in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, having majored in economics and minored in philosophy. He worked at Merrill Lynch in Chicago before attending law school at the University of Washington and graduated in 2020. During law school, Jack spent a summer working for Mark Cady, former Chief Justice of the Iowa Supreme Court and spent another summer working for the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in Criminal Appeals. Most recently, Jack worked as a law clerk for Justice Matthew McDermott of the Iowa Supreme Court during the 2020–21 term. As a law clerk, he drafted language for judicial opinions and conducted research memorandum on a wide array of legal issues.
In his free time, Jack enjoys tennis, playing chess, and downhill and cross-country skiing. He is also a licensed private pilot.
