Elizabeth O’Connor is an associate attorney at Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP and is a member of the firm’s litigation practices. Ms. O’Connor graduated from Notre Dame Law School and also received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, summa cum laude. Her practice focuses on personal injury defense, professional liability defense, and business litigation.
Ms. O’Connor has been first chair in several jury trials, obtaining favorable verdicts in breach of contract cases and defense of personal injury cases. She also has experience in developing case strategies and plans, assisting in preparing discovery responses, document collection, and investigation, and developing response strategies for subpoenas and related legal processes. When agreed upon by her client, she has negotiated with opposing counsel concerning settlements and mediated claims with successful outcomes.
Before joining Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP, Ms. O’Connor served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Laurie Smith Camp, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court, for the District of Nebraska. While in law school, Ms. O’Connor was elected Editor-in-Chief of the Notre Dame Journal of Legislation. She earned the Dean’s Award for Intensive Trial Advocacy Class and participated in the Notre Dame Economic Justice Clinic. In college, Ms. O’Connor was the student representative for the University of Nebraska Omaha on the University of Nebraska Board of Regents and participated as a member on the Board’s Executive Committee.
While not helping clients address their legal issues, Elizabeth enjoys running, traveling, and reading.
