Dave Schmitt is a partner of Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP. He represents and advises railroads, trucking companies, health care providers, accounting firms, businesses and individuals in a broad spectrum of legal matters including railroad defense litigation under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act, business disputes, cyber law, contracts, insurance law, tort litigation, and general matters. Dave’s work has resulted in numerous jury verdicts and appellate court decisions in favor of the clients he represents.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Schmitt served as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Lyle E. Strom, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Creighton University School of Law teaching courses in Trial Practice and Legal Research and Writing.
Outside the office, Dave enjoys classic cars and going to car shows. He also enjoys history and museums.
