JoAnna Thomas is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation Department. Ms. Thomas received her law degree with high honors from the University of Nebraska College of Law, where she completed the Litigation Skills Program of Concentrated Study. While at UNL, she was a finalist in the Allen Moot Court Competition, competed in the National Moot Court Competition, and the TYLA National Trial Competition. Ms. Thomas was the Research Editor of the Nebraska Law Review, received the CALI Excellence and Future Award in Trial Advocacy and Federal Jurisdiction, and participated in the UNL Civil Law Clinic.
Upon graduating from UNL, she was awarded membership to the Order of the Barristers. Prior to joining Lamson, Dugan and Murray, Ms. Thomas spent two years as a judicial clerk to Nebraska Supreme Court Justice Michael McCormack.
Ms. Thomas is an active member of the Nebraska Defense Counsel Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Omaha Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Division. She is the current Vice-Chair of the OBA YLD’s executive council and serves on the marketing and community outreach sub-committee.
