Mr. Heaney is a member of the Firm's Business Department and represents a wide range of business concerns, providing general corporate counsel in connection with liability issues, business development, acquisitions, mergers and capital financing. His experience includes the creation of business corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies, as well as not-for-profit entities and foundations.
Mr. Heaney was a director of Hospital Mutual Insurance Company which was formed in 1976 to provide professional and general liability insurance to Nebraska hospitals.
Mr. Heaney has provided legal counsel to multiple hospitals and nursing homes in Nebraska, Iowa, New Mexico and Colorado, including bond issues under the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati and the Franciscan Healthcare Corporation Master Trust Indentures.
